In the wake of WWII, 1000 young children were liberated from the Buchenwald concentration camp. Thereafter, these children were sent to various orphanages around the world. France accepted 426 boys in June 1945. THE BOYS OF BUCHENWALD picks up their story 57 years later, when the "boys" reunite at Ecouis, France, their first stop after being rescued from Buchenwald. Through interviews, still photos and archival film footage of concentration camps, the men recount their stories of loss, pain, survival, friendship, healing and hope. <47mn>
